This 150 sq. ft. space aims to welcome people from the Interior Design Industry for in-person and/or virtual meetings, providing the users with a comfortable, functional, cool and high-tech space. When entering the space people will encounter a burst of color: orange, blue, pink and green are a reminder that a functional workplace can still be fun and have personality.
An intuitive floor plan leads the guests to the right side of the project, where a large modular L shape sectional delimitates a functional meeting space, that features an oval table, an accent chair and a high-tech interactive meeting platform strategically positioned to emphasize the sense of togetherness even when people are physically away.
The left side of the space is dedicated to a small - yet functional - snack bar, that features a popcorn machine, mini fridge and a small bistro table for quick meetings or coffee. The left and right side of the space is divided by a custom-made decorative glass panel within the colour palette of the project. The “L” shape panel ends in a mirrored wall that contributes to the visual expansion of the room.
As a secondary use for the space, designers can host a video game or karaoke night and seize all the technology and comfort provided by the space, in order to unwind and relax. The modular furniture allows different arrangements and the snack bar is a tasty addition to it!
In this fast-paced environment, the idea of movement is important. Movement is a sensor for the world around us, with that in mind, this project focus on modular components that allow different arrangements, as we believe that different arrangements provoke new conversations, new conversations provoke new ideas, new ideas provoke solutions and solutions can change the world. The space’s flexibility is important as it allows the users to arrange the space as per their needs, not the opposite. Form follows function.
